Independent Electrical Contractors Chesapeake (IECC)
For over 40 years, IEC Chesapeake has been turning out the finest electricians in the workforce. IEC Chesapeake/IECC offers its “brick & mortar” electrical apprenticeship program in conjunction with community college educational partners, such as HCC. These apprenticeships provide an “earn while you learn” form of education that combines workplace learning with related technical classroom education. At HCC, the electrical apprenticeship programs are taught in state-of-the-art training facilities, by committed and knowledgeable instructors, using an interactive format that offers opportunities for mentorship as well as learning.
IEC Chesapeake’s Electrical Apprenticeship programs offer an exciting and unique training experience that build lifelong skills of the trade to provide an advantage in the job market.
IECC Articulated Credit Toward an Associate Degree
IECC offers four-years of classroom instruction and registered apprenticeships in the electrical trades. Students who successfully complete a IECC program and who earn the corresponding industry-recognized technical license or certification, may be awarded up to 15 credits at HCC at no cost. These credits count toward the Associate in Applied Science in Technical Studies. IECC students nearing graduation or IECC graduates interested in continuing their education at HCC should contact Kevin Crawford – Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management at klcrawford@hagerstowncc.edu.
