Student Guide

Please access the Respondus Student Guide to familiarize yourself with Respondus. This document provides a detailed, step-by-step guide on what to expect when testing through Respondus. If testing remotely, your instructor may require both Respondus Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor.

Second Camera

Some instructors may require the use of a second camera when taking an exam with Respondus Monitor. If a second camera is required for your exam, you will use a separate device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to provide an additional camera view during testing. Respondus will guide you through connecting and positioning the device as part of the exam startup process.

FAQs

Where do I download Respondus Lockdown Browser?
A download link will be provided at the time of testing via D2L. You may also download the browser ahead of time.

• Windows/Mac users – click here. You will be able to select either the Windows version or the Mac version.
• Chromebooks owned by you – click here. This link will redirect you to the Chrome web store, at which point you will select ‘Add to Chrome’ to install the Lockdown Browser Extension.
• Managed Chromebooks – have your Google administrator contact the Testing Center (testingcenter@hagerstowncc.edu).
• System Requirements: Please review Respondus's current system requirements before installing or using LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor. If using an iPad, this option must be enabled by your instructor for the exam.
